A vintage circa 1950s hand-knitted fair isle slipover or sleeveless jumper, made from pure wool yarns with a bold overall design in an unusual mix of dark brown & bright red on a yellow background.

Size: Suggested UK S - Shown on a mannequin with a 38" chest & it was a bit too tight (Please check measurements below) All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate (with approx. metric equivalent): Chest pit to pit: 18 1/2” (48.2cm) Shoulder to shoulder: 15 1/2” (39.3cm) Length neck to hem: 25” (63.5cm) Across waist (unstretched): 17” (43.2cm)
Condition: In very good condition overall, with light wear & a few bobbles - a couple of tiny repairs to the waist band & 1 to the upper back (see close ups) - the side seams are not very neatly sewn together. Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
