A vintage circa 1930s/1940s American college cardigan jacket, knitted from chunky wool yarn in a bottle green colour with 3 white bands on the left sleeve. It has a V neckline, plain waistband, ribbed cuffs, 2 lower pockets & fastens with light brown early plastic buttons. No labels present.

Size: Suggested UK S - shown on a mannequin with a 38" chest & it was tight - Please check measurements below. All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate (with approx. metric equivalent): Chest pit to pit: 18 1/2” (47cm) Width at Hem: 19” (48cm) Shoulder to shoulder: 18” (46cm) Sleeve length shoulder to cuff: 24 1/2" (62cm) Sleeve length pit to cuff: 22” (56cm) Back length from bottom of collar to hem: 28” (71cm)
Condition: In good condition overall with some wear, minor bobbling & a few snags - there are 2 repairs to the right front (arrowed) & a slight pull at the corner of the pocket - wear & fraying to the cuff edges - a worn/thin patch on the left elbow (circled) - slight colour bleed into the white bands - some distortion to the buttonholes - the bottom button is a slightly mismatched replacement. Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
