Beautiful vintage 1930s breeches, tailor made from black & off-white Shepherd Check wool fabric. Cut in the classic style with wide thighs, hand-sewn white buckskin calf panels, bound or taped edges, high rise fishtail back, full-cut seat, button fly & braces buttons, 2 front pockets, button fastened at the calf. No makers labels present.

Size: Suggested 28/29" waist, regular length fitting.
All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate for circumference (with approx. metric equivalent):
Waist: 14 1/2" (37cm) [about 2 1/4" available to let out]
Inside leg to hem: 22 1/2" (57cm)
Inside leg to knee: approx. 15" (38cm)
Outside leg (in a straight line): 34 1/2" (87.6cm)
Rise - crotch seam to top of waist: 13 1/2" (34.3cm)
Leg width at calf seam (i.e. the narrowest point): 5 3/4" (14.5cm)
Condition:
In excellent condition with light wear overall - faint discolouration & a small hole at the seat area - some marks on & around the calf panels - one calf tab button is a replacement - minor stains & marks to the waistband lining, pocket bags & fork lining, which also has a small hole. Have been thoroughly steamed prior to listing.
