A superb, rare unworn pair of vintage 1930s French summer trousers made from a lightweight, airy tropical-weave type of wool or wool & mohair fabric in variegated light grey tones. They are cut very wide in the leg, have double inward pleats, trapezoid belt loops, side adjuster straps with metal clamp buckles, silver metal button fly & braces buttons, 2 side pockets, 1 rear pocket with scalloped top-stitch details, & hems with continental-style half-depth turn-ups. No labels present - the thread loops which held the tag are still present on the waistband. The original French snapshot shows similar trousers with polo shirts for seaside inspiration!

Condition:
In new old stock condition, never worn or washed - there are faint storage marks across the knee area from years of being folded - a few other faint storage marks here & there. Have been thoroughly steamed prior to listing.
