A delightful vintage 1930s college sports or boating blazer for a youth or smaller man, retailed by 'Walter Sharp, Cleckheaton' as shown on the beautiful label. Made from a fine, lightweight, soft-handle wool fabric with printed stripes in bottle green & burgundy with white tramlines between, in an unstructured, unlined, unpadded single-breasted style with notch lapels, high armholes, slightly fitted waist, large patch pockets, & 3 brass buttons to fasten. Printed stripes are much less common than the woven striped fabrics usually used for this type of garment.

All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate for circumference (with approx. metric equivalent):
Jacket Chest - armpit to armpit: 19 1/4" (49cm)

Condition:
In good condition, with light wear overall & some scattered moth damage which in my opinion is not overly apparent when worn - most obviously there are 2 holes on the back of the collar, 1 on the upper back left sleeve, 3 on the inner right cuff, several on the front lower corner edges, 1 on the top edge of the lower left pocket & 1 nearby towards the front, 1 on the left back at waist level, some surface grazes on the right pocket (these are all indicated in the photos) & there are a few other pinholes visible when held up to the light - on closer examination there is slight darkening at the armpits. Has been thoroughly steamed & brushed prior to listing.
