A super vintage 1940s/1950s machine-knitted fair isle slipover or sleeveless jumper by 'St. Margaret', made from fine all wool yarns with a bold overall design in red, yellow, black & off-white on a mid-blue background. Machine knit fairisles of this era are much harder to find than hand-knits; this one was probably intended for a teenager.

Condition: In excellent condition overall, with light wear & a few bobbles - there is a little bit of seam separation at the V of the neck ribbing. Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
