A splendid vintage late 1940s or early 1950s raincoat or trench coat made by "Montague Burton" from wool gabardine fabric in a harder to find mid grey colour. Cut in a classic double-breasted style, it has padded shoulders, cuff tabs, slash pockets, kick vent, & matching belt with leather-covered buckle. Fully lined with shiny bronze satin fabric with quilted padding at the top to make it a useful mid-season lightweight overcoat.

Condition:
In very good to excellent condition overall, gently worn but with some minor flaws - there are some small surface nibbles/thin spots on the left shoulder, the right cuff, below the right pocket & on the left leading edge towards the hem (circled & arrowed) - a few other scattered tint snags & scuffs - some watermarks & scuffs to the lining. Has been thoroughly steamed & brushed prior to listing.
