A vintage circa 1940s overcoat by 'Watson Prickard' of Liverpool, made from a thick & slightly fleecy herringbone weave wool cloth in a marled dark grey which in certain light has a greenish cast. It is 6-button double-breasted with broad lapels, has medium-padded shoulders, gauntlet cuff turn-backs, 2 lower patch pockets with velvet linings, & matching belt with a textured resin-covered metal buckle. Fully lined with dark grey/brown rayon twill fabric, with an inside breast pocket..

Size: Suggested Medium, Regular Fitting - to fit about a 38"chest, depending on whether a suit jacket is worn beneath.

Condition:
In good, fairly well-worn condition with some signs of use - there is surface wear to the leading edges (especially the lapel roll & around the cuffs) & high spots - holes & fraying to the pocket flap linings - 2 small, barely visible repairs at the left front hem - a bald spot at the lower right hem (hidden when fastened) & some scattered moth nips which the camera couldn't see - the top 2 buttons are slightly odd replacements & the inside jigger button is missing - the belt keeper loop is missing - a few marks & scuffs to the lining. Has been thoroughly steamed & brushed prior to listing.
