A superb vintage late 1940s or early 1950s German two-piece suit, made from a medium weight, soft-handle wool fabric in a navy blue with pale blue pinstripes. The double-breasted jacket has strongly padded shoulders, broad lapels, fitted waist, flapped lower pockets, & single button fastening; it is fully lined in navy rayon twill with grey striped sleeve linings. The trousers are full-cut & wide in the leg, with double inward pleats, side waist button adjusters, button fly & brace buttons with rear rabbit ear tabs, full depth 2" turn-ups, and welted side slip, flapped front cash & rear pockets. Some photos have been tweaked for clarity but the close up of the label shows the colour best on my screen.
Shirt & tie not included.

Condition:
In really excellent condition overall, appears seldom worn - externally a few faint spots & marks from storage - internally there is some marking & staining to the trouser pocket bags & the crotch lining. Has been thoroughly steamed prior to listing but not cleaned.
