Vintage Mens 1940s German Hiking Jacket Green Cotton Outdoors Climbing Trachten 44"
Vintage Mens 1940s German Hiking Jacket Green Cotton Outdoors Climbing Trachten 44"
A rare vintage circa 1940s German 'wind jacket', made for outdoor activities such as hiking or climbing by 'Hochvogel' from a tightly woven, originally waterproofed, cotton fabric in variegated, slightly shot pale greens - on my screen the close ups are most accurate. Single-breasted with notch lapels, unpadded shoulders, front & back yoke seams, slash hand warmer pockets & three non-functional faux pocket flaps on the front, elastic tunnel half-belt at the back, & pressed leather buttons to fasten; unlined, with two inside chest pockets, one of which bears a wonderful embroidered pictorial label showing the namesake mountain.
Please study the photographs carefully - they form an important part of the description.
Size: Suggested UK 44", depending on desired fit & layering - Photographed on a 38" mannequin
