A stylish pair of vintage 1940s European (probably German) breeches made from a medium-weight, soft & drapey twill weave fabric which feels like a wool & rayon blend in navy blue. Cut in the classic style with very wide thighs, flat front, full-cut seat with reinforcing double panel, button fly & braces buttons with rabbit-ear rear tabs, belt loops, side waist clamp buckle adjusters, 2 front welted pockets, front watch or cash pocket & 1 rear flapped pocket, button fastened at the calf.

All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate for circumference (with approx. metric equivalent):

Condition:
In good condition with general wear, some surface bobbling overall, & some minor flaws - there is a small frayed hole at the bottom of each pocket welt where it has split - slight wear & a small repair to the edge of the seat panel (arrowed) - wear & fraying to several of the buttonholes - a section of the left inside leg seam has been hand sewn & may need attention (circled) -some marks & wear to the linings & pocket bags, tuftiness to the inside edge bindings . Have been carefully hand washed, steamed & pressed prior to listing.
