A super vintage 1940s German two-piece suit, made from a fairly light-weight wool flannel type of fabric in a donkey brown shade with alternating broken pin stripes in pale blue-grey. The double-breasted jacket has strongly padded shoulders, broad, sharply-pointed peaked lapels, fitted waist, flapped lower pockets, & 6 x 4 button fastening; it is fully lined in brownish rayon twill with ivory striped sleeve linings. The trousers are full-cut & wide in the leg, with double inward pleats, belt loops & side waist buckle adjusters, button fly & brace buttons with rear rabbit ear tabs, turn-ups, and welted side slip, flapped front cash & rear pockets. My camera made it look rather grey in some images, the mannequin shots are the most accurate depiction of the colour on my screen.
Shirt & tie not included.

Size: Suggested 36 Regular - shown on a mannequin with a 38" chest, & it was a bit tight.

Condition:
In very good condition overall, with a few minor flaws: - on the inside of the jacket there is a hole where the lining meets the right inside pocket facing - a repair at the same point of the left pocket facing & a hole in the sleeve liner at the armpit - the trousers have some discolouration to the pocket bags & waistband lining - a faint white mark on the centre front waistband, another on the left inner thigh, & 2 above the rear pocket flap (arrowed) - a small repair to the placket lining - some wear to the buttonholes (see close ups). Has been thoroughly steamed prior to listing.
