Excellent vintage circa 1940s trousers made from a heavyweight wool herringbone tweed fabric, quite possibly Harris but not marked as such, in a lovely ginger brown mixture. They are full-cut & wide in the leg, have double inward pleats, high waist with side button adjuster tabs, button fly, braces buttons, 2 side slip & 1 rear pockets & turn-ups.

Size: Suggested 31" waist. All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate for circumference (with approx. metric equivalent):
Waist: 15 3/4" (40cm) - about 1 1/2" to let out but you'd have to cut the one-piece waistband Inside leg: 29" (73.7cm) [nothing to let down without using the turn-ups] Outside leg: 41" (104cm) Rise - crotch seam to top of waist: 14" (35.5cm) Leg width at hem: 10 1/2" (27cm)
Condition: In very good condition with light wear overall - there are 2 discreet repairs to the left front & 1 to the right front (circled) - discolouration & marks to the linings & pocket bags - yellowing to the bottom of the fly lining & a small fray to the fork lining. Have been thoroughly steamed prior to listing.
