Vintage Mens 1940s Janker Trachten Jacket Double Breasted Coat Grey Wool Horn Buttons Traditional Tyrol German Folk 40"
A beautiful vintage circa 1940s German or Austrian 'Janker' Trachten style jacket, made from medium weight wool fabric in a marled mid grey shade with bright red & green trim. 6-button double-breasted with broad, rounded lapels, stand collar, strongly padded shoulders, nicely-shaped, unusual semi-patch pockets with floating bottoms & standard pockets behind. Decorated overall with oak leaf & acorn embroidery and fitted with especially large, intricately carved stag horn lapel badges & horn buttons - fully lined with grey rayon & grey/white striped sleeve linings. No labels present.

All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate for circumference (with approx. metric equivalent):

Condition:
In very good condition overall with light wear & some flaws - there are 2 holes & a patch of surface moth grazing on the front above the bottom button hole (see close up) - some moth nibbles to the top edge of the collar - some scattered small surface nips which are hidden by the marl. Has been thoroughly steamed & brushed prior to listing.
