A super vintage 1950s or 1960s zip-up blouson-style cardigan or lumberjacket , made for export by the long-established German brand 'Bleyle' from medium-weight wool yarn in cream colour. Knitted in a fisherman rib stitch to give a chunky effect, with a band of chain or cable stitch on each side of the chest, generous ribbed collar, ribbed waistband & cuffs; it fastens with a full-length silver metal 'Zipp' fastener running to the collar tips to allow wearing as a roll neck when zipped right up.

Condition: In very good condition overall - there is slight matting at the armpits - some yellowing/discolouration on the collar fold - a few small snags & pulls - on closer examination a few small faint marks & general faint patchy unevenness of the colour which the camera couldn't see. Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
