A superb vintage 1950s three-piece suit, made from a fairly lightweight fabric which feels like a wool & mohair blend in a very unusual dark teal & coppery brown melange which was hard to capture; on my screen the mannequin shots are most accurate. Single-breasted 3 button jacket with quite heavily padded shoulders, notch lapels, rear centre vent, welted chest & lower flap pockets, cuffs with 3 decorative buttons; fully lined in dark grey acetate with ivory sleeve linings. Waistcoat with 6 buttons, 4 pockets, rear adjuster strap, backed & lined to match the jacket. Trousers are full cut & wide in the leg, with double inward pleats, braces buttons, flapped front cash, side slip & 1 rear pocket, button fly, turn-ups. No labels present. Shirt & tie not included.

Condition: In excellent condition overall, appears virtually unworn - there are some faint marks, discolouration & storage foxing to the linings - the waistcoat buttons are different to those on the jacket but there is no sign that any of them have been changed. Has been thoroughly steamed & brushed prior to listing but a slight storage aroma remains.
