An excellent vintage 1950s British workwear two-piece outfit, made by the well-known 'Harpoon' brand from medium-weight gingery brown cotton drill fabric. Single-breasted unstructured jacket with notch lapels, 3 patch pockets, fastened with revolving shank removable silver metal 'Harpoon' stamped buttons with correct backing discs & rings. Trousers with flat front, belt loops, side slip, rear patch & leg ruler pockets, fitted with blued pressed metal button fly & braces buttons. Nice embroidered labels to both pieces & a faint 'M.W.B' (perhaps - water board) stamp to the jacket; the two pieces are slightly different shades but were found together many years ago - on my screen the mannequin shots are most accurate.

In excellent condition overall, appears seldom worn, probably only washed 3 or 4 times - with some gentle surface wear, minor fade on the crease lines from long storage. Has been carefully washed & pressed prior to listing.
