A vintage later 1950s 'Burton Tailored' sports jacket, made from an unusual all pure wool 'Emerald Isle Tweed' in checks of teal blue, brown, red, & mustard on a marled taupe background. Single breasted 3-button fastening with medium lapels - centre vent - quite heavily padded shoulders - very fitted waist - welted breast & lower flapped pockets - body lined with pale bronze satiny fabric with 2 chest pockets, sleeves lined with ivory striped rayon. The original owner had odd length arms & the left sleeve has been professionally shortened; it feels like the the fabric remains to lengthen it to match the right.

Condition:
In excellent, gently worn condition overall - there is slight yellowing to the collar fold - some scuffs & watermarks to the lining, especially the sleeve linings. Has been thoroughly steamed & brushed prior to listing.
