A vintage circa 1950s hand-knitted slipover or sleeveless jumper, made from medium-weight cream yarn (with slightly paler ivory for the neck & arm ribbing) which feels like pure wool. It has an all over small mock cable stitch pattern, V neck, ribbed waistband & trim.

Size: Suggested UK Small - Shown on a mannequin with a 38" chest & it was a close fit (Please check measurements below) All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate (with approx. metric equivalent): Chest pit to pit: 18” (46cm), will comfortably stretch to 19 1/2" (49.5cm) Shoulder to shoulder: 14 1/2” (37cm) Length neck to hem: 23 1/2” (59.7cm) Across waist (unstretched): 17 1/2” (44.5cm)
Condition: In very good condition overall, with light wear & a few bobbles - the waistband ribbing is not quite as elastic as it once was. Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
