Vintage Mens 1950s Harris Tweed Raglan Overcoat Balmacaan Coat Brown Blue Beige Check S M
A vintage mid 1950s Harris Tweed Raglan sleeve or Balmacaan type overcoat, made by the well-known London outfitters 'Alexandre' from 100% pure wool in a classic mini check weave in shades of brown, pale blue & natural. Fairly loose, easy-fitting cut - single breasted 3-button fastening with pointy collar - long cuff tabs - lower slash pockets - leather 'football' buttons - rear kick vent - fully lined with goldy-beige rayon fabric & 'Milium' interlining with 1 inside chest pocket. The Harris label bears the 'Applied in accordance' text which I believe came into use in about 1954.
Please study the photographs carefully - they form an important part of the description.
