A vintage 1950s Harris Tweed sports jacket, made from 100% pure wool fabric in a classic mini check weave in shades of brown, green, sage & natural. Single breasted 2-button fastening with notched lapels - side vents - medium padded shoulders - working cuff buttons - fitted waist - welted breast & lower flapped hand & ticket pockets - grey leather 'football' buttons - fully lined with pale grey/green rayon fabric with 1 chest pocket, sleeves lined in ivory rayon. The Harris label bears the 'Applied in accordance' text which I believe came into use in about 1954; the maker's label has unfortunately been removed.
NB Accessories not included - shown with an 'Old Fashioned Garments' roll neck jumper.

All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate for circumference (with approx. metric equivalent):

Condition:
In good condition overall, with signs of wear & some flaws - there is faint discolouration around the hem & on the lower sleeves, especially the left - a faint brownish mark on the right lapel & a few other scattered faint marks - slight yellowing on the collar fold - the lining has some scuffs, marks & stains, particular around the hems & to the left sleeve lining. Has been thoroughly steamed & brushed prior to listing but a slight storage smell remains.
