A super, rare vintage 1950s 'Hyclad' brand short sleeved polo shirt, made in England from stretchy cotton jersey fabric in olivey green with off white raised rib horizontal stripes. Pullover style with an inset diagonal plastron or bib front, pointed squarish collar with wooden toggle & loop to fasten (which I suspect is a period addition), & small side vents.

Size: Marked 38", but measures smaller, see measurements below. Shown on a mannequin with a 38" chest & it was a snug fit. All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate (with approx. metric equivalent): Collar: 15" (38cm) Chest from pit to pit: 17 3/4" (45cm) Shoulder seam to seam: 16" (41cm) Sleeve shoulder to cuff: 7 1/2" (19cm) Sleeve pit to cuff: 4" (10cm) Back length (base of collar at back to hem): 23 1/2" (60cm)
Condition: In very good condition with light wear overall - there is slight yellowing on the collar fold - a few scattered tiny snags & bobbles. Has been gently washed & steamed prior to listing.
