Vintage Mens 1950s Italian Maremmana Hunting Jacket Khaki Cotton 36"
Vintage Mens 1950s Italian Maremmana Hunting Jacket Khaki Cotton 36"
A wonderful vintage circa 1950s or early 1960s Italian hunting jacket somewhat in the style known as Maremmana, tailor made with a wealth of great details by 'Sartoria Martino Demeltio' (I think!) from sturdy cotton twill fabric in a sandy khaki colour with contrasting pale top-stitching. Single-breasted 3-button fly front with notch lapels, quilted yoke panels with padding at the front & shoulder areas, scalloped front pocket panels with inset small flapped pockets, side vents, & rear game pocket with waterproof lower lining; fitted with horn effect buttons through hand-sewn buttonholes, part self-lined with two inside pockets.
Please study the photographs carefully - they form an important part of the description.
Size: Suggested 36" extra short, depending on desired fit & layering - photographed on a 38" mannequin
All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate for circumference (with approx. metric equivalent):

Shoulder to shoulder: 18 1/2" (47cm)
Shoulder to cuff: 21 1/2" (54.6cm)
Armpit to cuff: 17 1/2" (44.5cm)
Waist: 21" (53.3cm)

In very good, nicely worn condition - gently faded, with a slight patina & softness from use - some wear & frayed areas on the collar fold - scattered faint marks & spots - a small nick on the edge of the fly front between the lower 2 buttons. Has been thoroughly steamed prior to listing.
I have a no returns policy - please check the above measurements and compare to a similar garment of your own before buying - no refund offered for items that don’t fit.
