A vintage 1950s dressing gown or robe, made by 'Morley' from all wool fabric in a bold grey-brown, red, burgundy & off-white check. It is wrap-over style, with a shawl collar, 3 patch pockets, striped piped cord edging with matching Hungarian knot decorations on the pockets & cuffs, & retains the matching tasseled tie cord for the waist.

Size: Suggested UK Medium Regular - shown on a mannequin with a 38" chest (please check measurements bellow) All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate (with approx. metric equivalent): Chest: 23" (58.5 cm) Shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 18" (46 cm) Sleeve length shoulder to cuff: 25" (63.5 cm) Sleeve underarm to cuff: 18" (46 cm) Length nape to hem: 44" (112 cm)
Condition: In very good condition overall, does not appear much worn but with some minor flaws - there is a small hole on the right chest towards the armpit & another which is hidden under the collar when worn, 2 small holes on the right sleeve, 2 holes on the lower back skirt (all circled) - a few pinholes& some grazing to the nap of the cloth which the camera couldn't see - the inside collar seam has come loose by the label. Has been thoroughly steamed & brushed prior to listing.
