Vintage Mens 1950s Paraqua Trenchcoat Double Breasted Raincoat Rain Trench Coat Mac 40" 42"
A vintage 1950s 'Paraqua' rain or trench coat made from all wool gabardine-type fabric in a dark taupe colour. Cut in a classic double-breasted style, it has padded shoulders, cuff tabs, slash pockets, kick vent, & matching belt with leather-covered buckle; fitted with attractive blue-grey marbled plastic buttons. Fully lined with iridescent coppery-green satin fabric and complete with zip-out quilted liner in the upper body, to which the nicely graphic labels are attached.
Please study the photographs carefully - they form an important part of the description.
Size: Suggested 40" - 42" Regular depending on layers worn beneath & whether the lining is removed.
Photographed on a 38" mannequin.
All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate for circumference (with approx. metric equivalent):
Chest - armpit to armpit: 24" (61cm)
Shoulder to shoulder.: 20 1/2" (52cm)
Shoulder to cuff: 25" (63.5cm)
Armpit to cuff: 17" (43cm)
Waist: 25" (63.5cm)
Back length - base of collar to hem: 46" (117cm)
Condition:
In very good condition overall - appears little worn but has some faint dark splash marks on the skirt front, which have bled through to the lining - a patch of faint dark marks with a surrounding 'puddle' on the right sleeve - a small frayed area in the right lapel notch, which looks more like a manufacturing defect - a tiny split in the seam at the right armpit & a small dark mark nearby - the leather buckle is a bit dry - the button is missing from the kick vent. Has been thoroughly steamed prior to listing but not cleaned.
I have a no returns policy - please check the above measurements and compare to a similar garment of your own before buying - no refund offered for items that don’t fit.
