A fantastic vintage 1950s two-piece suit, custom tailored by 'Ito, Misawa, Japan' most likely for a US Serviceman, from a fairly light-weight English made Donegal type all wool tweed fabric in a glorious spearmint green with multicoloured flecks. Single-breasted 2 button jacket in a fairly boxy, drape chested cut with slightly fitted waist, soft, medium padded shoulders, notch lapels, welted chest & lower flap pockets, cuffs with 3 decorative buttons, short centre vent; fully lined in silver-grey satiny fabric. Trousers have a Hollywood waist & dropped belt loops, quite full-cut & wide in the leg, with double outward pleats, hidden front cash, side slip & 2 tab buttoned rear pockets, 'Deponirt' waist hook, early YKK zip fly, & turn-ups.

Condition:
In good condition overall, with signs of use, some flaws & repairs:
The jacket has a repair on the lower left front, 3 repairs on the upper right sleeve, 2 on the left cuff - a few small holes - wear & yellowing around the cuffs - slight yellowing on the collar fold - repairs & some fuzziness to both armpit areas. Internally, the lining has scuffs, snags, small holes, wear & repairs at the armpits, noticeable sweat marking at the armpits. The trousers have wear & yellowing to the front thighs - a small hole on the right outer thigh, a few other tiny snags & holes quite well hidden by the weave - slight colour change at the hems where the legs have been let down - 2 faint brownish marks on the inner left lower leg - some discolouration, stains & wear to the pocket bags & linings - the inside bearer button is missing. Please see all close ups. Has been thoroughly steamed & brushed prior to listing.
