Vintage Mens 1950s Trousers Charcoal Grey Herringbone Striped Wool Pants 40" L
A super pair of early 1950s British trousers in an uncommonly large & long size, tailor made from a medium-weight wool herringbone weave fabric in charcoal grey with narrow black and wider dark red stripes running through. They are full-cut & wide in the leg, with high rise, double inward pleats, button fly, braces buttons, 2 side slip & 2 rear pockets & turn-ups.
Please study the photographs carefully - they form an important part of the description.
Size: Suggested 40" waist.
All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate for circumference (with approx. metric equivalent):
Waist: 20 1/2" (52cm)
Inside leg: 33" (84cm) [nothing to let down without using the turn-ups]
Outside leg: 48" (122cm)
Rise - crotch seam to top of waist: 17" (43cm)
Leg width at hem: 9 3/4" (25cm)
Condition:
In very good condition with light wear overall - there is a tiny bit of wear on the hem edge at the creases - discolouration & yellowing to the linings & pocket bags - wear to the fork reinforcement. Have been thoroughly steamed & brushed prior to listing.
I have a no returns policy - please check the above measurements and compare to a similar garment of your own before buying - no refund offered for items that don’t fit.
