A great looking vintage 1970s country or sports jacket, made by the well-known mens outfitters 'Hornes' from a beautiful Donegal type Irish tweed fabric in shades of brown, natural & green with multicoloured flecks which is best shown in the close ups; my camera makes the colour look uneven in some photos but it is not in real life. Cut in a military or safari style, with single-breasted 3 button fastening, slim fish-mouth lapels, 4 pleated patch pockets with scalloped flaps, lightly padded shoulders, rear shoulder yoke & centre box-pleat running into a vent, matching full belt but no belt loops; fitted with plastic leather-effect football-type buttons & buckle, fully lined in vibrant green acetate fabric, 1 inside pocket.

Size: Suggested 42"/43" Regular- shown on a 38" mannequin. All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate for circumference (with approx. metric equivalent):

Condition: In very good to excellent condition overall - externally minor signs of use - the top button is slightly different to the others - I imagine there were originally belt loops but they are absent; it would be quite simple to make some from the end of the belt if desired - internally the lining has some fading, scuffs, small holes & marks, some wear around the pocket top, a small fray at the top of the vent. Has been thoroughly steamed & brushed prior to listing but not cleaned; the jacket has a Febreze or perfumed smell.
