A superb vintage 1970s Norfolk type country jacket, bespoke tailored in 1976 by 'Fred Read & Co.' from medium-weight soft & slightly fleecy textured wool tweed fabric in a bold checked weave in shades of brown, sand, green & bluey-grey. Cut in a very Edwardian / 1920s style, single-breasted 4 button fastening, with lightly padded shoulders, notch lapels, front & rear shoulder yoke, strapping down the front & back, attached full button-fastened belt, lower pockets with flaps, rear centre vent, cuffs with decorative half-turn-backs; fitted with real horn buttons & fully lined in dark gold satiny fabric, 2 inside pockets.
