A superb vintage 2-piece suit bespoke tailored in 1961 by 'F P Baker & Co.' in the West End of London, made from a medium weight thornproof type tweed cloth in a pleasing mixture of marled olive greens, grey-brown, & natural. Single-breasted 3 button jacket with quite lightly padded shoulders, medium notch lapels, fitted waist, centre vent, welted chest & flapped lower pockets, 3-button cuffs with 2 working; fitted with horn buttons & fully lined in olive satiny fabric with ivory self-striped sleeve linings. Trousers are quite full cut with tapered legs, double inward pleats, side waist buckle adjusters, side slip, buttoned front cash & 1 rear pockets, button fly, & turn-ups.
Shirt, tie & cap not included.

Condition: In excellent condition with light wear overall & some minor flaws - there are marks & discolouration to the jacket lining, mostly at shoulder level, & to the sleeve liners - the trousers have 2 small repairs at the crotch, which in my opinion are not very apparent when worn - faint marks to the lining & pocket bags - faint shoe polish marks around the inside hems. Has been thoroughly steamed & brushed prior to listing.
