A great-looking vintage Polo Ralph Lauren raglan sleeve trench coat with mouton fur collar, exact age unknown but maybe circa 2000s, made from thick cotton twill fabric in a sandy brown khaki colour, lined with plaid cotton flannel in the upper body & blue acetate in the sleeves. Clearly inspired by WW1 / 1920s / 1930s aviator & motoring coats, it has a wealth of super details, including generous storm tab at the throat which folds for stowage under the collar, chest map pocket, removable epaulettes, leather cuff trim, leather 'football' buttons, belt & wrist straps with leather-covered buckles, rear kick pleat, external hand warmer pockets & internal patch pockets. In my opinion the coat was designed/made with the belt loops set rather low, so in the main photos the belt is positioned higher up to enhance the period look; additionally the belt is made over-long to allowing for tie-fastening & would be easier to buckle up if shortened.

Condition:
In very good condition overall with some signs of wear & use - there is a slight patina & scattered faint brownish marks - a small hole on the left sleeve - a patch of dark marks on the lower right front corner (hidden when fastened). Has been thoroughly steamed & brushed prior to listing but not cleaned.
