RARE Vintage Red Fake Faux Fur Teddy Coat 1960s Does 1920s UK M
A vintage 1960s ‘Teddy Bear’ coat, made from faux fur fabric in an unusual deep wine red colour. Cut with a rather 1920s influence in a slightly bell-shaped style, it has a stand collar, 2 slash pockets, long sleeves, & fastens with 5 huge early plastic buttons & elastic cord loops. It is fully lined in black acetate fabric; there are no makers labels.
NB: Please study the photographs carefully, they form an important part of the description.
Size: Suggested UK M (shown on a mannequin with a 36" bust) Please check measurements below
All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate (with approx. metric equivalent):
Bust: 20" (50.8cm)
Shoulder width seam to seam: 16" (40.6cm)
Sleeve length shoulder to cuff: 22" (56cm)
Sleeve length underarm to cuff: 15 1/2" (39.3cm)
Sleeve width at widest point (armpit level): 7" (17.8cm)
Width at hem: 26" (66cm)
Length Nape to Hem: 40" (101.6cm)
Condition:
In very good condition with light wear overall - the buttons appear to be replacements (they are in fact older than the coat), as do the elastic loops - the pocket bags are a bit stiff & stained by having had something left in them long ago - the lining has some light marks & scuffs, & some stitch-lines where a label once was. Has been thoroughly steamed prior to listing.
I do my very best to carefully list/illustrate any flaws I find. This item is sold as is - no returns unless the item has been grossly misrepresented.
Please check the above measurements and compare to a similar garment of your own before buying - no refund offered for items that don’t fit.
