A vintage circa 1980s hand-knitted Trachten style short cardigan jacket, probably of German or Austrian origin. It is made from marled grey wool in a rib stitch with a bright red and green border around the neck & down the front edge, stripes around the waist & cuffs, & a draw cord at the neck. It has an unusual construction, with the front panels wrapping round into a tapering V-shaped back, so there is only a centre back seam; the front fastens with 6 domed silver tone metal buttons with an embossed flower design.

Condition: In very good condition, with very light overall wear. Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
