A vintage 1930s evening gown, very nicely hand made from a floral patterned printed silk in wonderfully rich flame reds, deep red & chartreuse. The bodice has wide gathered shoulder panels which are stiffened to form cap sleeves, a heart shaped neckline, & opens down the front to upper hip level with self-covered buttons. The skirt has a close fitting yoke at the hips, below which it is bias cut and generously flared. There are no side openings.

Condition: In very good to excellent condition overall - the metal backs of the fabric covered buttons have rusted (see close up). Has been carefully steamed but not laundered or cleaned prior to listing.
